Uniforms have an undeniable symbolic value all over the world. They identify and differentiate in security services, prisons, hospitals, schools, and sports clubs. Uniforms worn by military and police officers represent state authority, unite those who serve under their banner, and demand respect and deference.

A police officer's uniform is an important part of his or her daily life. It gives a lot of pride and respect. It represents public order and reflects a sense of patriotism. As you can see, the police officer's uniform is his direct identification. And it is the uniform that immediately alerts the public that this man is in charge of protecting civilians and their belongings. The mere act of wearing the uniform makes you identifiable to the general public, who is aware of what the police do in their midst.

Every station is implementing "Tamang Bihis" to all personnel in order to maintain the proper and standard of uniform set by the PNP. We have the privilege to witness the conduct of the said activity in the Bauan Municipal Police Station led by PLT Sonia Cueto, Deputy Chief of Police.

Like in the Cadet Corps, we also practice inspection to check the whole appearance and uniforms of Cadets to see if they meet the standardized protocol set by the institution. The uniform helps to instill a sense of professionalism in the Cadets. It teaches them to take pride in their appearance and to present themselves in a manner that is respectful and appropriate for their role. Wearing a uniform requires a level of discipline and attention to detail. It teaches Cadets to take care of their uniform and maintain a high standard of appearance, which translates to other areas of their life, such as personal hygiene, organization, and punctuality.

The uniform thus directly links the police officer's daily experience and the image of the police. Is it possible to stimulate not only police officers' daily motivation to pursue their work, but also their appreciation in society and, ultimately, improve police-community relations by investing more in the police uniform. In addition, the uniform is an integral part of the life of a Cadet. It not only provides a sense of identity and community, but also helps to instill discipline, professionalism, and a sense of responsibility in the Cadets.
