"If you want to change the world, make your bed first," Admiral McRaven said. The practices of the cadet corps at the Philippine National Police Academy still reflect in our daily routine, from fixing our beds to preparing our uniforms to checking our own bearing. Also, we still make sure that everything is okay before the mobile patrol arrives. Now, the graduating cadets of PNPA's soon-to-be law enforcement officers will participate and undergo real-time activities and workshops in their respective local police stations to apply what we have learned at the academy and gain innovative ideas that will aid their development as well-rounded individuals and hone our skills and capabilities in performing their duties and responsibilities as young leaders. This will serve as our wake-up call about what to expect in our future careers.

The following activity was a community relation in Brgy. Manghinao Uno with Commodoress Gregory I Adel PCG, Acting Commander of CGD Northern Mindanao, to commemorate Samahang KATUGA's 45th founding anniversary. The said event was attended by officials of the barangay, councilors, businessmen, and members of the said organization that supports advocacy in a peaceful and organized community. Police-community relations are very important in this kind of situation because you can create a good relationship and connection with other powerful authorities and individuals to support the mission and goal of the police station and the community. I already appreciate the program of our Director, PNPA on his advocacy in enhancing our skills in public speaking because this is our foundation through disseminating information to the community.

In conclusion, public speaking is very important because it is connected to and frequently used in all aspects and situations of our career. We are blessed that the director revised the curriculum in order for us to catch up on all necessary knowledge and skills before going to real-time scenarios and activities. The ELP seminar adds to the theories we already know and improves our skills in doing and creating written work, especially in constructing our sentences. It is recommended that the program be adopted by the next class in order for them to maximize their knowledge before experiencing the Cadet Attachment Program.
